As you might have guessed, since my website is full of all things Articulate-related, I must really like their products. Well, that is true! Although I use a wide variety of software to design and deliver content, Storyline 2 is my “go to” app. With that in mind, I thought I would take a few minutes and highlight three reasons I really love this company and their products!
#1: Articulate’s Rockstar Community
I think Articulate’s e-Learning Heroes Community is one of (if not) the best in the industry. I made my first post there over 2 years ago and have had the pleasure of interacting and virtually working with many of the community members and managers. Whether it’s participating in weekly challenges, responding to others posts, or asking for help on something that is not working as expected, you will find help…usually within an hour! Articulate’s e-Learning Heroes Community is by far one of the most dynamic and helpful e-learning groups out there. Are you a member? If not, I strongly encourage you to join this group. #2: Product Flexibility
When designing client content, I always pencil out the designs and then move to the development tool. In order to bring my “creation” to life, it’s critical that what I envision for a course (interactions, animations, etc.), can be recreated within the tool. From my experience, Storyline 2’s flexibility to turn my ideas into reality has been stellar. Of course, to get the most from Storyline 2, I think it’s important to have a good understanding of layers, states, triggers, conditions and variables. No worries! You can find all of the tutorials and help you need in their Community forums. As I’ve always said, “When working with Storyline 2, you are only limited by your imagination!”
With any software, it’s important to have the support you need when you are trying to meet tight deadlines. Over the past 2 years, I’ve only required the assistance of Articulate’s internal support team 2 times. In each of those situations, their response was quick and my problems were addressed. The first stop for the majority of any issues I encounter has and will continue to be the Articulate’s e-Learning Heroes Community! There will always be operating system and application updates (maintenance and major build releases) that occur. I have always been impressed with how quickly Articulate’s team finds a solution and distributes the steps necessary to address them!
Well, that’s just three things I can think of at the moment. If you are not working with this company’s products, I would encourage you to give them a try.
