Flat design graphics emphasize simplicity over realism. At least that’s what David Anderson says in this week’s Articulate challenge. For e-Learning designers who want to create their own graphics, the flat style may just be the ticket. Even if you don’t have mad illustrator or graphic skills, using simple shapes and color palettes may be the secret sauce behind your next e-Learning project.
This week the challenge is to design an office or desktop theme based on your own workplace environment.
In this demo, I created about 99% of all graphics directly in Storyline using the drawing tools. The only exception was the cartoon character and the rain clouds that are seen in the opening sequence. To make this more interesting, I added interaction and just a little humor to the design. I’ve also added a little something extra for one of my e-Learning designers out there. I hope she finds it.
