I had a few hours of free time this evening and decided to put together this free organizational chart for those of you working in Storyline 2.
You can find the free Storyline 2 Master file over on my Resources page.
It’s a pretty simple concept but uses a fun animation effect. If you want to learn how this is done, check out this explanation from Jerson Campos over on his blog.
To see the demo, click the image below.
Here is a screenshot of the basic building blocks:
- On the screen shown above, each of the images across the top have triggers set to show their associated layer.
- The larger image and Name, Title and Description boxes are actually on a separate layer.
- To edit the location of the invisible box and the larger image, you must select the invisible box, and then click Edit States. From there, you can place the invisible box over the smaller image (at top) and also set the placement of the larger image in the lower right corner.
The invisible box (explained on Jerson’s blog) is identified as #1 below. The edit states is the next key secret to making the animation work. This is where you work to set the placement of the invisible box and the larger image. Finally, #3, is the animation setting (e.g, Grow) that is set on the invisible box.
