A new day, a new challenge!
In this week’s Articulate Challenge, the goal was to focus on a disaster or emergency event and create a 3-5 slide course to help learners navigate the event. Of course, there’s a catch! You had to do it all by hand. Crayons, pencils, markers or any other non-digital drawing tool(s) could be used.
Where Did the Idea Come From?
- Google’d “disasters” to search for an idea
- Took dog for a walk
- Google’d “catastrophe” to search for an idea
- Took dog for walk
After several searches and a few dog walks, I realized the answer was right there in front of me the whole time. A peanut butter and honey sandwich! Okay, it wasn’t there in front of me the entire time. I did eat it eventually… it was close to lunch!
To be more specific, it was the “honey” part that help get the ball rolling.Think of it this way, honey = bees = killer bees. My course is designed to help you deal with the imminent invasion of a swarm of Africanized honey bees, known colloquially as “killer bees.”
The design was created using a pencil and a few color markers. Very low tech but here is the result. I hope you like it and learn something too! You never know when your may encounter a swarm of killer bees!
