Artificial Intelligence & Trumpet Players

I realize this has nothing to do with e-learning, but I felt I must share it with anyone who plays trumpet. I think you’ll find it very enlightening. Enjoy my 10 minutes of AI exploration!

In picture #1, notice the “correct” way to hold the instrument. All these years, we thought we were supposed to use the mouthpiece! Who knew we were supposed to blow through the bell? And if you could get a sound, does that mean F is third valve and not first valve?

In the following, I asked AI to compare a Bb trumpet with a C trumpet. A thing of beauty! Unfortunately, there is no mouthpiece in the new design.

This one is supposed to be a photo of Maynard Ferguson playing trumpet. I think those who know Maynard will see something missing. Also, notice the dual mouthpiece approach to the design?

Please show me a trumpet with smoke from the bell, another piece of art. I might have this printed and put on the wall.

And my last work of art, show me the C major scale! For my fellow trumpet players, I think we are safe from AI so far! Now, it’s time for me to get back to content development!
