Diabetes Facts

According to the American Diabetes Association, 1.5 million Americans are diagnosed with diabetes every year. In 2017, diabetes was the seventh leading cause of death in the U.S.

According to the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), this chronic health condition affects how your body turns food into energy. If you have diabetes, your body either doesn’t make enough insulin, or your cells stop responding to insulin, resulting in too much sugar in your bloodstream. Over time, this condition can result in heart disease, vision loss, and kidney disease.

This interaction provides an engaging way to explore facts about this disease. It was created in Storyline 360 using a single number variable, no layers, a few state changes, and move animations. Click the image below to view the demo.
